Why is an efficient purified water distribution system vital?

A water system is used to produce high purity water that is used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Apart from being useful in production and formulation of pharmaceuticals, pure water is also used to keep the equipment and water systems sterilized.

Pure water produced in these systems needs to be in compliance with the various regulations set in place by national and international agencies. However, a pure water system alone cannot ensure the efficacy of the system.

A minor impurity in the purified water distribution system can have an impact on the quality of the end product. As the pure water generation system needs to be designed and maintained with care, the purified water distribution system also needs to be taken care of with detailed attention. Along with the distribution system, the storage system too needs to be compliant with the strict guidelines of GMP, ISO and other agencies.
